Rideshare driver charged with alleged rape of young woman

A 43-year-old rideshare driver has been charged after allegedly raping a woman in Melbourne.
Police say the 19-year-old got into a car she thought was a ride-sharing service shortly before 2 a.m. Monday and was sexually assaulted by Mohammad Yahia.
It is understood the woman was leaving Caramel nightclub in Banana Alley.
Yahya was arrested at his home in Pakenham yesterday.
Detectives from the sex crimes unit charged him with rape and false imprisonment.
His carpool license is suspended.
He appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court today where he was refused bail.
Yahia is due back in court in September.
