However, Labruck’s sentencing was delayed on Monday because his wife was due to give birth.

Magistrate Andrew Matthews described it as perfect timing.

More than $450,000 in cash was found wrapped in Christmas presents in LaBrook’s car and at the Ascot home of WA racing identity Kellie Kersley in December 2022.

During the trial, father-of-three Labruck argued the money was legitimate club funds.

He said they were raised from Rebels membership fees and fundraising events including parties and sausage sizzles.

Matthews found that evidence to be “lacking credibility”, adding that the money was concealed in a suspicious manner and there were no receipts.

LaBrook will return to court in July to learn his fate
